Wow missed that.
After much hunting I think it is made by AverMedia, but I am only going by what is on the drivers downloads page for it.
http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/AVerMedia has some supported, but no idea which one comes with the acer. Might be easier to get some cheap usb tuners
I tell you want, if LXF gets one to review and sends it to me i'll let you know.

On the whole then, one could just go for one of the Acer Aspire Revos that ebuyer have going for less than £200 and get a TV tuner and an external blu-ray drive. Like this one: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/236579

That works for me. I have a Revo attached to the back of the TV, with tuners and video storage on a separate backend.

The Magic pad? I don't believe in magic anyway, it probably uses a bit of wet string.
