Wow missed that.

After much hunting I think it is made by AverMedia, but I am only going by what is on the drivers downloads page for it.

http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/AVerMedia has some supported, but no idea which one comes with the acer. Might be easier to get some cheap usb tuners


I tell you want, if LXF gets one to review and sends it to me i'll let you know. :D

On the whole then, one could just go for one of the Acer Aspire Revos that ebuyer have going for less than £200 and get a TV tuner and an external blu-ray drive. Like this one: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/236579

That works for me. I have a Revo attached to the back of the TV, with tuners and video storage on a separate backend.

The Magic pad? I don't believe in magic anyway, it probably uses a bit of wet string. ;)
