Cracked it No2: Have now successfully got Cannon M270 printer working on my Ubuntu 11.10, it identified the printer, searched the web and found the driver for me and loaded and setup, BINGO.
Now I wish I could upgrade my Mint 8, but it tells me its obsolete and cant be done so looks if I might have to clear the disk and load separate and new, when I get Mint 12.
Pity I have to dump my long standing Windows, attempting to get essential data off Window disk now. |
