I booted from DVD selected Ubuntu 11.10 Gnome3.0

Have blue striped screen...

Went to INSTALL

Set user name and Password etc.

DVD started to install and did some of reading DVD and writing to HD

Them nothing in the past hour..... only a circle with dots going
around .......I assume it's busy

Any advice please

I tried it twice the LXF DVD but no luck.
So I downloaded a copy of Ubuntu11.10 .iso file from their site after some difficultly was able to burn it to a CD.

This booted up from CD without any problem.

Installed no problem.

graphics processing unit is unknown.

Did Not do Ram test.

But thanks for your trouble though.
