Reading the comments (on the linked page) it seems there's some fishy stuff going on. It seems the "accident" happened at a convenient time for the "victim", who admitted that, as a former FBI guy, he didn't change the locks when renting the property, who previously held a car dealership. Also, no camera's where placed to record events either in or outside. Nothing was stolen, only one server had its OS replaced.... |

Now, if they had set it up as a fully functioning web server carrying his site, that would have been impressive...

Earlier in the week, the computers shut down and rebooted themselves in the middle of the night, Grimm said, and though the campaign first believed that was accidental, now they're suspicious, he said.

No, you're running Windows, there isn't anything in the least suspicious about this.
Reading further, I like this bit best:

In fact, one officer said to me today they see this as a crime against the government, because I am a sitting United States congressman and they take it very seriously. You know, especially in light of what happened with Gabby Giffords, we're not in the world today where we can shrug things off," Grimm said, referring to the Jan. 8, 2001 shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, an Arizona Democrat, outside a Tucson supermarket. "Violence is violence. Throwing large stones and concrete through the window is an act of violence, and we've got to take it seriously. |
Well obviously, having windows broken and a computer tampered with in the middle of the night when no one is around is just like having a gunman try to blow your brains out! What a pathetic bid for sympathy.
Edit: reading further links from that story, about the teenagers who have been charged with the vandalism of breaking the windows, it seems they didn't even gain access to the premises. It might even be the case that one of Grimm's own staff effed up the computer. The thick plottens. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |
