I've downloaded it. Unzipped it. ./configure doesn't work. Nor does sudo apt-get install kompozer Nor does running kompozer shell script. 
I'm mystified. Every guide seems to tell me a different method to get it. One said it was in the repositories. It wasn't.
Anyone help?

Mint 14 is definitely using GTK> 2.14, so it fails. Get the latest source (0.8 branch) then follow these instructions: http://kompozer.sourceforge.net/dev/ |

Thanks. I got as far as this bit...
copy the “mozconfig” file for your platform, from the mozilla/composer/config directory to mozilla/.mozconfig
e.g. for MacOS X:
cp mozilla/composer/config/mozconfig.mac mozilla/.mozconfig
And couldn't find the mozconfig file.
btw, it was the .08 build I was trying.
