|

Hello,
I was using ubuntu 12.10 before and decided to upgrade it to 13.04, the latest upgrade.l
But it crashed when restarting from the SUSPEND and also from The Hibernate. It did this 3/4 times. So I reverted to 12.10 with a fresh install, restored my data from the backed up drive with the Deja Dupp!
Please let me if there is any way to rectify the above!
Thank you. _________________ Narendra |

In my humble opinion the answer is do not put your head in the lion's mouth.
But then that's just me! _________________ Oh, sod it. |

I invariably wait a month before upgrading to the latest Ubuntu, when I have done an immediate update it has broken things _________________ still looking for that door into summer |

Thank you very much for your replies!
You are absolutely correct, needed to wait for sometime before upgrading.
Lion's Mouth! I like that.
I usually keep my computer switched on for the whole day, between 8-7 and do not wish to use start button on the tower to switch it off and restart it, so thought the 'suspend' and ''hibernate' would be fine and consume less electricity!
Tried the 13.04 on the virtualbox! The global menu on the toolbar of the desktop has gone! Freezes when it asks for the password while starting it. And my computer is new, had it 3 months ago.
The Linux Mint 14 is fine, been using it for sometime. _________________ Narendra |
