Sounds like an internal short or bad earth from the power connector. Try wetting your hand, standing in a bucket of water and touching any metal bits of the laptop while it's plugged in. If you get fried, you'll know that's the problem. Very Happy

So now you know just don't use the lappy with power supply just use it to charge the batteries besides it's better to drain them before recharge anyway.Good luck with it paul.
