Getting rid of Desktop animations on LXDE

Postby Nox » Thu Nov 07, 2013 8:23 am

Just switched to LXDE 13.10 and I keep seeing animated icons whizzing about my desktop as I'm making my desktop shortcuts.

Gave it a google but can't even find a site that admits LXDE does such a thing let alone how to turn it off.

Given LXDE is supposed to be a nice light distro this is a bit irksome to see remnants of silly animations! ( I say remnant because it only seems to produce 8-10 flickers of the icon crossing the screen but I still want them gone)

Anyone know how to stop these? Figured I'd ask before going for a snorkel in lubuntu-rc.xml

Thanks!

EDIT! It's weirder than I thought, not just animations but animations of icons I moved ~5-10 minutes previously, re-rendering the movement paths they took...

LXDE supports more than one window manager - which one have you installed?

Openbox, at least thats what I configured to have Tilda make a transparent terminal over my wallpaper (and since that works that should be it.)
