Xmas email scams - and there's more

Postby guy » Wed Dec 04, 2013 1:17 pm

Just received an email purportedly from Amazon, and offering a little "Order details.zip" attachment.

I was quite tempted to open it and see what the malware made of Epiphany on Debian, but I decided to share the thought with you instead.

There are a lot of similar email scams at the moment, purporting to come from various large companies. I've had a flood of them claiming to be from Royal Mail, and also several supposedly from DHL. They all have attachments containing malware.
