I am looking to buy a new box and would like any recommendations for a uk
supplier who is conversant with Linux. I used to build my own machines but due to age restraints I find it impossible now..I am in the UK and have googled but not much success so am wondering if anyone on this list might help
Regards
Ted

Have you looked at http://linuxpreloaded.com/? They list suppliers from all over the world including a few in the UK.

I'm sure http://www.novatech.co.uk/ used to offer systems with Linux installed, but they don't seem to now, and I can't say whether they're conversant with Linux. However they do sell them with no OS, thus saving ~80 on the price of a Windows box. Installing Linux on a virgin box shouldn't be too problematic.

Indeed, Novatech even have a Linux section to their forum, where people discuss compatibility of kit, among other things.
