In my home network I run a Smoothwall box as firewall and another box with SuSE 9.0 for all the 'real' server stuff. Pretty secure, but not efficient from energy savings perspective.
I somewhere read that with User-Mode Linux you should be able to combine these functions in a secure way into one box.
Therefore an article or tutorial on how to get this done would be very welcome as well as a discussion on security related aspects by using UML as compared to different boxes.
Thanx! |

Vserver is another solution for this. We sell virtual machines using vserver at Netserve, they seem to work quite well. _________________ Andrew Hutchings, Linux Jedi
