|
|
The lxf dvd Belenix boot process stops after a few seconds with an error message
svc:/system/filesystem/root:default : Method"/lib/svc/method/fs-root" failed with exit status 95
I did a google search on this and it seems it is possibly caused by a problem with 'vfstab'
Has anybody got any info or ideas to try and resolve this? |

|

Hi,
I seem to have different boot-problems using the Live-CD Version on the LXF-DVD.
Belenix starts properly but when it comes to starting X I get a message that the root-filesystem is full!
Cheers,
Rob. |

If anybody is still interested in this,
I managed to get both problems listed above, by fiddling with the bios settings for the drive access modes,
and,
cure both problems by disabling UDMA mode for the DVD drive channel.
I have a relatively low spec machine 1.3 gig & 384 Mb ram and the distro runs at a (crippled) snails pace. |

I had no problems booting Belenix on various systems if I chose the third option of the boot prompt then entered UN, PW, xinit, manually and stuck with startkde rather than Xfce4.
However, I have been unable to resolve the GRUB failure R4 Error after a successful 2hr install. Any help gratefully accepted. |

Nil response! But I note that the new version has addressed some (unspecified) GRUB shortcomings:
