Hi, I recently was able to purchase a toshiba t1900, a 48s/SX with 4 MB ram and only 100MB Hard Disk. No CD rom, just a floppy drive. Now I want to install some kind of linux on it. I suppose something like a slackware distro, but is there anyone out there who knows where I can get it on FLOPPY so as to be able to install it...
probably gonna be quit a job... |

With 4MB of ram you aren't going to be doing anything graphical, so why not use a floppy distro like tomsrtbt. Indeed, why not have a look here for a list of floppy based Linux distros. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

Yeah, I've been looking around for stuf like that, found some, but I want to have something I can play around with, see how much I can pull oout of that little thing.
Saw stuff like minix (50 MB install), but no such thing as I can install through floppies. |

The full Minix 2.0.0, as provided with Prof. Tannenbaum's book, can be installed from 9 floppies (which includes the source code !) _________________ Hope this helps,

| okay, now to find the floppy-based distro so I can download it. for now I'm only able to find downloadable cd-iso's. If you could tell me where I can download the set of floppy-images I'd be really grateful. |
