| I have only just started using linux and I am having trouble with my graphics gard. I am running Fedora Core 5 (and Mandriver One as my second boot choice) and a voodoo 3dfx 3 graphics card. I also have 256 Mb dimm and 526 swap. When i try to run high graphics programs they runn very slowly. Does anyone have any ideas that may help me? It would be much appreciated. |

| get a new card. from a quick bit of googling thats a 16mb agp card. you can get a geforce based card for next to nothing now (www.ebuyer.com or www.savastore.com both in the uk) which has the advantage of proper 3d acceleration support |
