Christ I put it on in the background whilst browsing some pages, forgot it was a spoof and then heard the lyrics properly. Need a new bloody keyboard now.

I wonder if firefox will actually rise in popularity to where people can stop writing webpages then *Breaking* them to display in IE?
Nothing should really REQUIRE browser specific code, but there we are.
I wonder how much it would cost to have all browsers rendering everything the same?
I wonder how much money this would save in developement? |

Last I checked M$ was running $8 billion American--give or take a billion.
More seriously, I think some blame needs to go to the standard itself. If you going to define something you consider to be "STANDARD", it should not be left open to interpretation or proprietary implementation.
The other half of the blame goes to Microsoft for deliberately mis-implementing the standard so that everyone else's browser appears "broken" (wink, wink, nudge, nidge.) |
