Is there a linux version of spider solitare?
if so where can i get a full free copy of this game?

Your best bet is PySol it has over 200 solitaire variations.

AisleRiot has many variants (probably similar to PySol). This includes a few variants of Spider.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it also comes with kpat, the KDE solitare card game package.

Yeah it is. You just go to settings>game type and easy/medium/hard are at the bottom of the list.
