| Still waiting. It's just not meant to be. Perhaps it was on a first-come-first-served basis. Another version will be out by the time we get our free copies! |

I think things are looking up. I received my first Solaris e-newsletter in my e-mail recently. At least I know someone actually received and processed my request. (Even if it was only to SPAM me.) |

| Ok. Ok. Now I've re-ordered as well. We'll see if it comes. I may actually just try to torrent it instead. |

Mine took three weeks to arrive.
I actually tried installing it, too, but eventually gave up - it seemed to want to overwrite existing partitions, and I couldn't figure out how to persuade it not to. _________________ 800 LINES ERIC - GET BACK TO PYSKOOL |

Here's your problem. This is from the "Getting Started" pages:
"Before partitioning a system, you must do the following:
*
Ensure that you have at least 14 Mbytes of disk space for a system with more than one operating system.
"
So you'd better make sure you've got that 14MB in reserve.
Actually received the Developer Edition in the mail today. Nice promo for a game design contest. When I grabbed it out of my mailbox, I almost threw it away. It looked like an AOL disc. |

This would be interesting to see if I can port HPLIP to Solaris 10 to get my PSC1110 to work on Solaris. If not, well, I have an old Deskpro that I can install Solaris 10 on.
I have taken interest in Solaris as I have an old Dell OptiPlex GXpro that is running Solaris 8. |
