Much as HisTonyness would like to run the BBC I don't think he can yet 
However I did sign the petition but it would be better to write directly to the bbctrust whose job it is to "work on behalf of licence fee payers"

Done, and so have 6,858 others as of 14:30. A couple of weeks ago I did a bbctrust online questionaire where this was one of the main items, so I made my views known there as well.

I wrote to the BBC Trust regarding their proposed iPlayer and received
a reply saying that they are in the process of consultations about it
and that their provisional conclusions are on the following site:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctrust/consult/open_consultations/ondemand_services.html
Please look and tell them if they have got it wrong
