tonight i will be installing SuSE 9.3 by selecting the update function as in it keeps say any home files and files i installed etc. Would you recommend me to do this or should i just clean it all out, so i won't have any compatibility issues, as i have heard there can be a few?

It is much better to copy the files in your home folder that you want to keep - wipe your h/d, install 9.3 and then copy back your files.

You might want to back up /etc too, unless you want to reset everything back to default settings.

well looking at the setup, which i have been doing for the past two hours, it has worked well, i am getting the updates now and it seems to say wrong md5 checksum, however if it doesn't work well i'll just wipe it clean, but i used the normal method as it was just more easier doing that. Thanks for the help!
