i am using ubuntu hoary 5.04 with a usrobitics pci 56k fax/modem i know for a fact it is a hardware modem wvdial reconizes the port as does pppconfig but i still cant connect anyone have any advice i have a p3 750mhz, 320 mb of memory,the modem is on port ttyS14 at irq10 adress 1070 as reported by setserial my isp is msn it works fine with xp but i cant connect with linux
