Get the best of both worlds, put Ubuntu on the disc, and a note to "apt-get install kubuntu-desktop" with the install notes so that the folks with a fetish for an over-abundance of menu items can get a K-fix. Very Happy

Ubuntu has better brand awareness. The option of naked threesomes as artwork, and the chance to go on about Mark Shuttleworth.

The apt-get solution is an excellent idea for the K users..
How about using up lots of the DVD for as many .deb packages as possible for those without a lot of bandwidth.

I'll add my small voice to the plea for Kubuntu. There shouldn't be any arguments, after all Ubuntu is freely available if you don't have BB by post. Sadly, Kubuntu is not yet available this way. I'm lucky as a friend is downloading Kubuntu for me as I type. But there are a lot of others who don't have this sort of access.
