My experience of women in computing is that there are some people that can learn and others that can't, the majority of the latter are male! _________________ still looking for that door into summer |

A moment for reflection here. What about our Slippery Friend? Is he in fact a mermaid?

I think it's more sort of neuter (or neutered)
Edit: It is not unknown for couples to share a persona (just to make it more confusing)
So, horror of horrors, he may be both! _________________ The sig between the asterisks is so cool that only REALLY COOL people can even see it!

oh, just seen this post, going to bump it cause it is important, I must admit I only ever get problems online, or within the school community(male network managers/techies), whenever I have been to linux expos or lug meetings I have never had any problems. I must admit having this handle does make it pretty obvious and it can be hindrance especially when asking for help, or even worse when I am trying to help someone, but it isn't as bad as it was 10 years ago when I really was a linux girl and attitudes have improved....just my 2 pence worth. _________________ My knowledge comes with no warranty...........

Hmm, I started with Linux ten years ago (in October), which means that this year must be the tenth anniversary of the LXA pilot magazine.
I wonder if there will a party or other celebrations (the good thing being that we get to do it all again next year when it will be LXF's proper tenth anniversary). _________________ Bye, Rhakios |
