Does anyone have any good software like 'Family Tree Maker' that will run on Unbuntu - I have already had a look at gramps, but I am looking for something more co-operative and 'simple' like my mind.
All ideas and suggestions would be looked into.
Thanking you all in advance. |

Have you tried either of these JLifelines or Lifelines.
Not sure about the features or ability |

Sorry, ollie, for not getting back to you sooner, have had a look at jlines and will be taking it further at the weekend - if - I can get the ubuntu upgrade to download in full and instal.
It's about time I used my mind and worked with an application and getting it to work the way I want it too.
Thank you for your reply. |

No worries, I was thinking about upgrading to Gutsy as well, got the downloads on Friday but my weekend has been interrupted by customers! I'll try a dual boot system with Vista tomorrow after I've reviewed my proxy logs.
It would be good to know if either of these are suitable because lots of people are into genealogy at the moment. |
