Have thoroughly enjoyed the CD/DVD's that accompany the mag! Hope Mike can keep up the pace. Don't know if I'll be able to cope with a double-sided DVD but sure will give this one a try.
Thanks Again,
Phil |

You're welcome.
As for the DS DVD, just take it one side at a time. Do the FC4 side first, the Debian side won't go out of date for at least a couple of years |

"It's spelled B-O-T-H-W-I-C-K, but it's pronounced Mozilla!"
Or something.

Both was in bother (well, almost), not as in both, wick as in wick, i.e. the w is not silent. |

Yes you are , but the answer is; a bit of this and a bit of that at the moment, mainly some web development work right now, plus I'll still be writing for the magazine.
It's more a case of the magazine moving on than me doing so. Future wanted a full time New Media Editor to handle the discs and the web site and I wasn't prepared to move to Bath to take a staff position (I was offered a similar position with Future four years ago and turned it down for the same reasons).
It makes sense for the magazine to do it all in house, once there is enough work for a full time in-house body, but it doesn't make sense for me to take such a position. |

Hi Nelz,
just like to add my thanks for the great job you've done so far, and best wishes for the future (as opposed to the "Future" ).
Hope to be reading your words of wisdom for many more issues.
All the best,
Nigel. |

It's good to know you'll still be contributing to the magazine, and of course these forums. They wouldn't be the same otherwise. _________________ Bye, Rhakios |

-=- And all success too, of course,
-=- And will certainly be looking out for the articles, as the advice has always been excellent.
-=- If it wasn't for past LXF cdroms, i would never have been able to get half as far with my Linux experiance, as i have otherwise been able to, thanks for that. It'll be a difficult role to fill, i think

Well, I'm optimistic I can maintain the same quality -- here're the highlights of the next coverdisc:
GNU Hello (http://www.gnu.org/software/hello/hello.html) -- with binary packages for Miracle Linux and LOAF!
ls statically linked with every library on the system (DVD only because of size)
PDFs of the Linux kernel source in 72-point fonts with double line-spacing
(Disc contents subject to change.)
