Life? Okay, not really a game, but endlessly fascinating.

Hate to admit it but I really enjoy Spyder Solitaire on the Windoze platform, sadly not available for Linux(?). It suits my slow, ageing mental state. _________________ Trying to stay sane in a crazy world...... |

It comes pre installed with Windows so I guess it would not separate? I used Wine with Lotus Approach whilst I was learning OO Base and was hugely impressed. _________________ Trying to stay sane in a crazy world...... |

Worth a try. Calc and Notepad come with Windows and they seem to work fine on their own with Wine, so unless it depends on some really obscure DLLs, it should be OK.

Had an Atari 520st, bunch of stuff, Test Drive, Olympics something, Some Asteroid/Spaceship thing, Speedball, Mario Kart (snes), Goldeneye, Frontier Elite 2, On the PC, some game a bit like star wars but everyone appears to be giant cats. Nascar. Doom, Grand Theft Auto. Colin McRae 2, Gran Turismo (ps1), Max Payne, Battlefield 2. Crysis.
Starting to see where it all went wrong _________________ I think, therefore I compile |

For me it was all about paratrooper on the commodore vic20, ah yes the dot men with half moons above them
I have to agree with Georgie Jedi on on Mario Kart on the SNES ( I was ceremonionsly kicked Bournemouth campus for duping the security to letting me into my friends flat mate house while he was away.
Gameboy Original ( Tetris, played to death ) and F-Race
MegaDrive - Sonic
And like tuxmando - N64 - Goldeneye, which I still have in my bedroom |

Have you tried AisleRiot Solitaire (I think it's in the gnome-games package on Ubuntu) Plenty of other similar games available.
Favourite games (long ago) were Frak! and Chuckie Egg on the BBC though having recently installed beebem and tried running them I wonder why!
Elite was quite addictive in its time - trying to dock with the space station without using any assistance.
On the C64 I quite liked "Dropzone" and "Spitfire Ace"
On the Amiga it was Jaguar XJ220 _________________ Where's the Kaboom? There's supposed to be an Earth-shattering kaboom!

elite, doom, ace-of-penguins but most games that I like involve other people and are not played on a computer _________________ still looking for that door into summer |
